Rantings and Ramblings

Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey

After 10 games this season, it would be nice to see a little more evidence that this team can put together entire games where they look like a threat to make another run at a championship. They have plenty of time to do that though. And doing so in April and May is far more important than October and November.

October 15th: The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Montreal Canadiens 3-1 on Tuesday night meaning they’ve now alternated wins and losses in their last four games. The Bolts got goals from Braydon Coburn, Steven Stamkos, and Tyler Johnson in the victory. Andrei Vasileksiy was the best player on the ice for either team making several stellar saves and ensuring that the lead held up under multiple flurries of heavy pressure from Montreal.

As of October 14th, Tampa Bay Lightning (2-2-1, 5 points) Goals For (Per Game): 20 (4.0) Goals Against (Per Game): 17 (3.40) PP%: 26.67% (10th) PK%: 72.22% (24th) CF%: 45.0% (26th)

Not much to say about the Lightning so far in the preseason. They just don't look like the team from last year. Very sloppy plays, they look confused and unorganized. They lost to the Panthers and the Hurricanes.
