"A lie told often enough becomes the truth." Vladimir Lenin

Below are news headlines that I found on the Daily Mail web site. They all appeared at the same time. Note the difference in how each was handled. They all concern sexual abuse of a minor. But the outcome varies greatly between each case. What is wrong with the justice system?

You can google any of these for further information. They are not in any particular chronological order.

Oh, brother! Action taken against Ilhan Omar for 'marrying sibling'
The watchdog group Judicial Watch has filed a House Ethics complaint against Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., calling for a congressional investigation of allegations she married her brother in an immigration-fraud scheme. As WND reported, investigative reporter David Steinberg and others have published over the past three years substantial evidence that Omar married her brother to defraud U.S. immigration and perjured herself eight times in her divorce statement. In addition, a Minnesota state agency last month fined her for filing joint tax returns with a man who was not her husband while legally married to a man who appears to be her brother.
The complaint includes allegations of immigration, marriage, tax, and student loan fraud. The group filed the complaint with the House of Representatives' Office of Congressional Ethics.

Should reporters air own opinions in public? Americans sound off - 'Era of low trust in media globally'
Two of three Americans say journalists should keep their opinions to themselves and just report the facts, according to a Gallup/Knight Foundation poll.

Gallup said 74 percent believe it's generally a "good idea" for news reporters to interact via social media. But only 34 percent approve of reporters sharing their personal views, while 65 percent disapprove, including 27 percent who strongly disapproved.
Democrats (47 percent) are more inclined to approve of journalists editorializing than are Republicans (25 percent) and independents (27 percent).

‘Fake News’ Fears: 95% of Americans ‘Troubled’ by Current State of Media, Poll Finds
Nearly all Americans are “troubled” by the state of the media, according to a new study from boutique PR agency, Bospar, in collaboration with Propeller Insights
The survey of 1,010 American adults found that more than 95% are troubled by the current state of media, with 53% citing “reports on fake news,” 49% citing “reporting gossip,” and 48% citing “lying spokespeople,” as the key causes.
Other factors ranging from “celebrity opinions” to left- and right-wing agendas to the possible reporting of “blind items” in the news also spark concern.
